Opportunity to display or sell your art at Virginia Gay Hospital

 

As you may know, for the past several years Virginia Gay has offered their clinic lobby and hallways to VGFA for display of our members’ works of art.  It’s time to put a fresh face on those walls by swapping out the current selection for your new pieces.

 

All guild members may submit their work for consideration, for display only or for purchase.  In order to be considered, you must submit pictures of the pieces you would like to have displayed.  Any type of art work is eligible, provided it can be hung on the wall or contained in a frame of some kind that can be hung.  Pieces will then be selected by VGFA representatives in collaboration with a hospital committee that is responsible for clinic decor.  The hospital will be making the cards to display with each piece.  Visitors are instructed to contact the Guild if interested in a purchase, and their information is then forwarded to the artist.  There is a lot of wall space to fill so feel free to submit more than one photo.  Please get in touch asap if you're interested.  The deadline for photo submission is to be determined. 

 

Requirements for Displays

Only current Guild members are eligible, and must remain in good standing as long as the art in on display at the clinic. Not a member? Now is a great time to join.  https://www.vintonart.com/membership

Art must be framed and ready to hang.  Canvas wraps are also acceptable.

 

Instructions for Submission

Electronic photos (jpeg, pdf, etc.) should be attached to an email and sent to vintonartguild@gmail.com.  If you are unable to email your entry, please call Anita Gordon at 319-560-4912 to make other arrangements.

 

Each entry must be accompanied by:

a) artist name, city

b) title is preferred

c) medium/description and size specifications

d) if display only or purchase

e) if available for purchase, the price (commission applies)

f)  if VGFA may use your entry on our Facebook page or website

 

If you currently have a piece of art at the hospital, you may resubmit it to

continue displaying it, or we will contact you at a later date to arrange for

you to collect the item.
